There are many private houses, where there are no centralized heat supply and people have their boiler room. It is always recommended to use zone valves with actuators in these private houses. Zone valves help the coolant (water) circulate throughout the building and maintain a certain temperature in each room separately. Central heating system keeps the same temperature in the whole building, but this is not always necessary, as some people need colder and some need warmer temperatures in the room. Of course, you can manually change the temperature by adjusting the flow area on the radiator, but the process can be automated. This requires a thermostat and a zone valve with an actuator. Zoning a building is a way to increase efficiency and save energy.
Zone valves DB-VZ with on–off actuators are suitable for heating and cooling water in zone systems for ON-OFF control. Zone valves are 2-way and 3-way with actuators with a power supply of 230 VAC (SM230 / CA) and 24 VAC (SM24 / CA). The actuator is fitted with a manual operating lever for a manual override when the power supply is not applied or if a power failure occurs. The zone valve actuator opens the valve (normally closed) according to the command signal of a thermostat and at the signal interruption, a spring positions the valve to the closed position.

Fan coil valves VFX are used in heating, cooling and air-conditioning systems. Two-way and three-way VFX valves are normally closed directly. These valves are compact, reliable and easily mounted. On request, they can be supplied with a plastic cap that ensures protection and manual action. They can be used with SE1 electrothermal actuators.

Electrothermal actuator SE1 is used to control fan-coil valves in HVAC systems. SE1 is suitable to control VFX series valve bodies. When actuators are not energized the valves are normally closed in a direct way. Two action types are available: On-Off and modulating 0... 10 VDC. The actuator has the sensing element inside the capsule that spreads out causing the movement of the shaft. So, the stem valve connected to the shaft moves and opens the valve. The shaft goes up and the valve moves to the closed position by a spring return when the power supply is off.
